We modified the basement stairwell to allow the cabinets to extend an additional 36” and we created a pass-thru opening in the wall between the kitchen and dining room. BARBARA & DAVID B. Philadelphia, PaComplete kitchen remodel including demolition, plumbing and electric, a new laminated floor throughout the dining room and kitchen, Legacy stock cabinets and self edged plastic laminated countertops and custom fabricated laminated moldings. We created a pass-thru opening in the wall between the kitchen and dining room to complete a design that incorporated a centerpiece-angled countertop with an integral eating table. FERN & RICK C. Meadbrook, PaTWO complete remodeling projects (kitchen and hall bathroom) as part of the owner’s house expansion construction project. We enlarged the kitchen to incorporate an existing laundry room and opened up the entire new and expanded area to the dining room. We also created a desk area within the new kitchen. Work included demolition, plumbing, general construction, laminated flooring (throughout entire 1st floor area), Option custom cabinetry, Caesarstone quartz countertops and a ceramic tile backsplash. DIANNE D. Philadelphia, PaComplete kitchen remodel including demolition, plumbing, electric, wall construction and extensive ceramic tile work. The scope of work included relocating the entrance to the basement steps and enlarging an exterior window, transforming it into a pass thru to a new sun room (by others). The design included building cabinets into an existing alcove and incorporating two separate single wall ovens. Materials used were Jim Bishop semi-custom Shaker style maple cabinets and ceramic tile countertops, backsplash and floor. JOHN D. Philadelphia, PaA complete bathroom remodeling project in which we converted a hall closet into a shower and relocated and enlarged the vanity sink. We also relocated an existing air conditioning duct and constructed all new walls. The job included significant plumbing and ceramic tile work. Materials used were Jim Bishop semi-custom raised panel cherry cabinets, Caesarstone “Jerusalem Sand” quartz countertop, custom made frameless glass shower enclosure and ceramic tile floor, walls and shower. DAVID & GINA E. Philadelphia, PaRemodeling project including TWO bathrooms and the kitchen in an 80 year old house. Both bathroom projects involved a complete makeover and updating of all plumbing, electric, fixtures and finishes. Work included extensive ceramic tile installation and plumbing reconstruction. Kitchen project involved combining the existing kitchen with a separate breakfast room to create one large kitchen and laundry closet. A total redesign of the electrical and plumbing infrastructure was required. Products included Option custom made cabinetry, Toasted Almond granite countertops, and ceramic tile floors and backsplash. TERRY & SHAWN G. Yardley, PaA complete kitchen remodeling project that required combining the existing kitchen, two closets and an enclosed breezeway (between the house and a detached garage) into a new and larger kitchen and entry foyer. We reconfigured a weight-bearing wall to open the kitchen to the new foyer and built a new floor so that the kitchen and foyer were on the same level. We enlarged an existing window and converted a standard entry door into a sliding door leading from the eating area of the kitchen to the rear yard. The design featured an eating table and desk that is integral to the countertops. Products included Option custom made cabinetry, Gibraltar solid surface countertops, laminated flooring and ceramic tile backsplashes. PATRICK H. Philadelphia, PaA unique bathroom renovation project in which we repaired and completed failed work from another contractor. We provided an all new plumbing infrastructure into an enlarged shower, built a glass block shower wall, completed extensive ceramic tile work on the remaining walls as well as the floor, and installed all of the fixtures. The materials we provided included Legacy stock bathroom vanity cabinets and Gibraltar solid surface countertops. JAY & LINDA J. Hatboro, PaA complete kitchen redesign and remodel in which we removed walls and posts between the kitchen and family room in order to open the space into one great room. The new kitchen layout included an island between the two areas as well as significantly greater cabinet storage and countertop workspace. Work included all new insulated walls and ceiling, electric and extensive plumbing updates, Hanssem semi-custom cabinets, Shivikashi granite countertops and a ceramic tile backsplash with a hand painted mural behind the range. We also reconstructed the family room portion; work in this area included new insulated walls, recessed ceiling lighting and electrical upgrades, and the installation of French doors between the family room and the living room. CATHY L. Philadelphia, PaA major renovation in which we converted a kitchen, eating room, and butler’s pantry into one large eat-in kitchen. We redesigned and reconstructed all of the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in the kitchen. The electrical work was especially extensive as we included 12v lighting in many glass front and open display cabinets as well as task and mood lighting effects. Materials on the job included Option custom painted cabinets, Giallo Ornamental granite countertops, flooring and tabletop, Kitchen Aid Architect Series appliances, and ceramic tile backsplashes. This project and 1st Line Kitchens were featured on HGTV’s “I Want That Kitchen!!” television show (Episode #205) which premiered on 8/27/06 and is now in syndicated reruns. SUSAN M. Philadelphia, PaA project in which we provided design services and materials only; the client completed all installations and construction. We created a functional design for an undersized kitchen. Our floor plan maximized the limited space available and allowed for normal kitchen cooking and social functions; it even included a movable base cabinet. The client selected natural knotty pine cabinets from Ram-Wood Custom Cabinetry and Corian solid surface countertops. DEBBIE O. Havertown, PaKitchen and bathroom renovation project including demolition, plumbing and electrical work. Kitchen materials included Hanssem semi-custom cabinets and plastic laminated countertops. Bathroom materials included Legacy stock cabinets and a cultured marble countertop. HARRIET S. Elkins Park, PaThis project consisted of renovating the kitchen and TWO bathrooms in a townhouse condominium. All electrical work and extensive plumbing requirements (specifically in the bathrooms) were included. Materials included Legacy stock kitchen cabinets, plastic laminated kitchen countertops, and Swanstone solid surface bathroom materials. GERALD & PAT T. Lansdale, PaA partial renovation including new plastic laminated countertops and a ceramic tile backsplash. We also designed and fabricated a pass thru bar top which flowed into the family room and became a permanent eating table. LISA W. Dresher, PaA complete kitchen renovation project including demolition, plumbing and extensive electric upgrades. The design incorporated a built-in banquet bench at the kitchen table. Option custom cherry cabinets were used along with Giallo Veneziano granite countertops and ceramic tile floor and backsplash. GINNY W. Philadelphia, PaA major renovation project in which we transformed an existing dining room into a kitchen; converted the old kitchen into a library; and remodeled an adjacent bathroom. We performed major construction work as we rebuilt the rear exterior wall of the house, changing a small door opening into a sliding door to the rear garden. We constructed a new interior floor which alleviated a severe slant in the existing floor and built TWO new closets. Extensive plumbing and electrical work was included in order to relocate the kitchen and a 12-volt lighting system was added. Materials included Option custom kitchen and library cabinets, Rain Forest Green marble kitchen countertops, hardwood kitchen and library floors, Jim Bishop semi-custom bathroom cabinets, Swanstone solid surface bathroom countertop, and ceramic tile in both the kitchen and bathroom. |
